Your are right, run your own race . easy to add moisture hard to put the little seeds back in the pods once they are scattered and shattered. We ran in the heat on standing L252 6 % but in the bins the driest and hottest stuff went into aeration the fans are running today with the bit of rain and the high humidity will monitor the cables for moisture get it up to 8 or 8.5 and be happy not worrying about the big wind that tends to come with the fronts that bring the rain.

Sometimes it's just human nature to assume the other guy has no clue , lol . Happens a lot but that has not changed in the past 100 years of farming and probably won't in the next 100 .
Makes farmers an interesting group for sure

Okay MB or who ever has been successfully adding water to dry canola, please describe how you did this. Hearing lots about this lately, but nobody has done it.

I have a feeling this system is going to slide underneath us! I am watching Montana radar and Enviro Can satellite imagery. Unless this thing starts tracking in a different direction I think we are going to be disappointed with it's results. SIGH!!!

Farma I think its time for you to pull all the stops and do a full nude raindance in the middle of your yard. It works!

It is so frustrating, watching these systems split away. Hopefully there is a solid front come barrelling through from Montana. Remember June 14, it turned back from Manitoba so never say never.

Even in 1980, the weather pattern dissipated after July, but not until the crop was fryed. Fingers and toes crossed for torrential downpour. 🌧⛈🌨

BL, I just might do that....too cold to get charged with "indecent exposure" today anyway! Would you take afew inches of wet snow in case I get the snow and rain dance mixed up?

I dont know if it qualifies for the rain lottery or not seeing we are still harvesting but we received between 7 and 8 tenths last night. Probably closer to seven if I fished out the fly that died trying to get a drink. It is a bit of a relief after all the hot dry weather. May lower the possibility of fires. Fives miles away nothing.

Excactly. You won't ever hear me cheering on rain in September especially after what happened last year.

Speaking of fire. Waterton fire went wild in a matter of hours.
